Project Information
As part of this project we performed steady state and transient (surge analysis) of an LPG pipeline from the subsea tanker unloading facility in approximately 15 m water depth up to onshore LPG storage terminal. The project included 2 x 650 m 6” flexible pipelines from the tanker unloading facility up to the landfall point and further 2 km 10” carbon steel onshore pipelines from the landfall point up to the LPG Bullet in the storage terminal. As part of the project, modelling of the Emergency shutdown valve, Emergency Release Coupling located on the tanker, modelling of the Shut-off valve located on the tanker end of the pipeline and shutdown of the Emergency Shutdown Valve located at the onshore terminal was modelled. The objective of the analysis was to determine the pressure envelope of the pipeline system, forces on bends and other fittings and vibrations in the pipeline system.
